We collect information from you when you register on our site, fill out a form, provide information about activities you have participated in, and/or provide information about your weight and inches.
When registering on our site, you will be required to provide your first and last name, your e-mail address, a password which you will create and use for your account on this site, the year in which you were born, the name of your project, and the name of your employer. You may optionally provide a nickname and/or a phone number.

Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one or more of the following ways:
To administer the Cal Fit Challenge competition.
To personalize your experience.
To improve our website.
To improve customer service.
To send periodic e-mails.
The e-mail address you provide may be used to send you information and updates related to the Cal Fit Challenge competition or website.
Note: If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future e-mails, we include unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email. You may also unsubscribe by opting out on the Account Page. Even if you unsubscribe from future e-mails, we may send you future e-mails to advise you of changes to our Privacy Policy or Terms Of Use.
To send periodic text messages.
If you provide a phone number and opt-in to receiving text messages, phone number you provide may be used to send you information and updates related to the Cal Fit Challenge competition or website. If you opt-in to receiving text messages, you are solely responsible for any and all charges related to sending and receiving text messages. Carrier data charges and fees may apply.

How do we protect your information?
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you enter, submit, or access your personal information.
We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our database to be only accessed by those authorized with special access rights to our systems, and who have agreed to keep the information confidential.
After a transaction, your private information (as identified in the section above, "What Information Do We Collect?", etc.) may be kept on file for more than 60 days in order to determine competition winners, and to provide statistical graphs indicating performance on a personal or team basis.
Data Retention and Destruction
If, as of the 30th day following the final day of a challenge, you have not logged into the website during the prior 365 days, your account and all associated data will be subject to deletion.
On the 30th day following the final day of a challenge, the Activity and Measurement data that was entered by you for that challenge will be subject to deletion. If, as of the 30th day following the final day of a challenge, you have logged into the website at least once during the prior 365 days, your account will NOT be deleted, even though the Activity and Measurement data will be subject to deletion.
Do we use cookies?
Yes. (Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the site's or service provider's systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.
We use cookies to understand and save your preferences for future visits.
Do we disclose any information to outside parties?
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. There is currently no consensus among industry participants as to what “Do Not Track” means and how to respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals. As such, we do not respond to such signals.

Because we value your privacy we have taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.
As part of the California Online Privacy Protection Act, all users of our site may make any changes to their information at any time by logging into the site and going to the "Account Page" page. Some information, such as Project Name, Employer Name, and Charting Options may not be able to be changed after the competition begins, or during other time periods.

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act), as we do not collect any information from anyone under 18 years of age. Our website, products and services are all directed to people who are at least 18 years old or older.
